Long time ago, when i was in highschool and in my youthfulness i had this belief that we, women have to suffer for beauty. I was trying to find my style and this had been a long journey sprinkled with lots of decisions, most of them not so good.
So at that time I didn't pay so much attention to shoes and i was choosing beautiful and not so comfortable heels that damaged my feet in time.
I don't have such big damages but I have 2 corns that I couldn't get rid of. Any solution i had over the time, it still appears and bother me. Meanwhile i started to run and i started to consider that should i pay more attention to my feet.

I was looking on the internet how to get rid of corns, i read about foot care, tried more creams and oils and i discovered this medical specialization called podiatry. I started to read more because I would have preferred to go at a doctor than go to a nail technician.
I made an appointment to a chiropodist, where i stayed like 1 – 1,5 hour and she cleaned my feet with special instruments in a very professional way and i want to tell you this was such a big spoiling.
I am so excited that i discovered this and i am sorry i didn`t discover it earlier because our feet are so important but we are not educated to take care of ourselves and try to prevent, rather than treat the problem.

I want to present you this medical specialization a bit, because not all the people heard about it and don`t know what does.
„Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. Chiropodists are medical professionals that treat and maintain the health of your feet and ankles. They can care for minor ailments such as heel pain, bunions, ingrown toenails, as well as more serious issues including sprains, infections or fractures. It's not the best-known health profession but it makes a huge difference to millions of patients every year, especially diabetics.”
If you are interested to read more about this, i recommend you to read this article on Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podiatry

If you went to a chiropodist or have any story to tell me about this, please let a comment below. Let`s learn from each other and make a better world!
